Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing sales teams, with at least 2+ years of experience in a leadership role. You will be a hands-on player-manager, leading by example while driving the performance of the team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment and has a proven track record in professional services, particularly within the finance, banking, or insurance sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and motivate a high-performing sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
- Act as a player-manager, actively participating in sales activities while overseeing team performance.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and processes to drive business growth.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, providing coaching and mentorship to team members.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
- Analyse market trends and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.
- Ensure sales team compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
Key Requirements:
- Demonstrated success as a Sales Manager, with a strong track record of overseeing and guiding Business Development Managers to achieve outstanding results.
- At least 2 consecutive years of stable employment within the same company and industry
- Strong background in the professional services industry, specifically in finance, banking, or insurance.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate, and lead a successful sales team.
- A player-manager approach with a hands-on approach to driving sales initiatives - candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets while successfully managing and leading a sales team to achieve collective success
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- A track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
